You fill in the blanks. You know it does. Coronavirus. Wildfires. Climate deniers. Trump. Death.

I have managed to avoid writing a word here the whole year… as if nothing was occurring in my life or in the world. Truthfully it is too, too much.
Later I will make a list of the things that this year has stolen from me. (Sadly we all have this list.) But I wanted to simply acknowledge that I too have noted my absence and the fullness of our shared silences.
It’s time to empty our pockets of regrets and fears, and get on with the business of rooting out what has been poisoning us and replanting what will sustain and heal us in the coming years.
